Dana Point Fine Arts Outdoor Art Show at 2017 Festival of Whales Mar 4
Dana Point Fine Arts Association, a nonprofit organization, will have their annual outdoor art show and sale during the Dana Point Harbor Festival of Whales will be from 9:30 AM to 5 PM at the Harbor Boardwalk along the boat docks in Mariner’s Village. Watercolor, oil, acrylic, colored pencil, pastel and photography by many award-winning local artists will be available for purchase. Dana Point Fine Arts annually donates a portion of the proceeds from the show to Dana Hills High School Art Department.
Orange County Heart & Stroke Walk Mar 4
The American Heart Association will host a 5K timed run and 5k walk. Come take the first step towards a healthy lifestyle with activities for the whole family (four-legged friends included!). Before the walk, enjoy the Expo which includes healthy snacks, demonstrations, health screenings and healthy activities. The annual Orange County Heart & Stroke Walk raises funds for research, and initiatives that promote prevention, treatment, community outreach and better patient care in areas related to heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.
Festival of Whales Mar 4&5, 11&12
The annual Dana Point Festival of Whales celebrates the return of the once-endangered California Gray Whale with a leviathan-size event. In addition to whale watching at the height of whale watching season, festival includes a kick-off parade, Sand Sculpting, Ocean Awareness Day, musical entertainment, on-the-water Concert, Whale of a Block Party, Art Shows, Pancake Breakfast, BBQs, Kids Interpretive Crafts, Classic Car Exhibits, Lectures/Seminars at multiple venues including the Ocean Institute, Historic Walking Tours, Paddling Events, Sailing/Rowing/Kayak/SUP Demos, plus much more!

Saint Joseph’s Day at the Mission Mar 19
Live music, community presentations, Special Guest “Swallows Speakers”, Mission Basilica School performances, ringing of the historic bells and History of St. Joseph’s Day and Swallows Legend. Free for Mission Members. General Admission $15 for Adults and Seniors
Cherry Blossum Festival Mar 19
A FREE day of fun for the whole family filled with Japanese food, music, dance, cultural performances, and games and crafts for the kids. This festival is in support of the over 30 year student exchange relationship Huntington Beach shares with their sister city of Anjo, Japan.
Swallows Day Parade & Mercado Mar 25
The Parade takes place in down-town San Juan Capistrano. This is the nation’s largest non-motorized parade. It is totally organized and presented by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association. Arrive early; most street closures are by 10.00 a.m. The parade begins promptly at 11 am. The Mercado is a Street Fair and Market Place where you can eat, drink, and shop at over 100 booths. It is THE place to be after the parade! Listen and dance to the music of The Working Cowboy Band, a traditional country music band.

Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza Mar 25
Hop on over with family and friends to enjoy this fun and exciting Spring time event. Children can meet and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny as well as participate in several activities that are located throughout the area. An exciting egg hunt will include eggs filled with a variety of treats or prizes. Each egg hunt is limited to a certain number of children. Children may bring their own basket or purchase one from Irvine Park Railroad.
