Christmas Lights Through December

Knott’s Merry Farm Through Jan. 5
Guests of all ages can embrace the joy of Christmas at Knott’s Merry Farm, with classic shows like the Holiday Ice Show featuring Snoopy, the Peanuts Gang and a cast of world class ice skaters, the nightly tree lighting ceremony and The Christmas Carol. Plus stroll through the merry streets of Calico for unique seasonal treats, Santa’s Christmas Cabin, traditional live Christmas Carolers, a Christmas Crafts Village, an enchanting Snow and Glow show with nightly falling snow, and so much more.

Sawdust Winter Festival Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22
The Festival will feature 180 artists, three stages of live music, holiday inspired festival classes and ceramics, art demonstrations, daily visits with Santa, carolers, a petting zoo, and thousands of lights and decorations to capture your perfect festive selfie, and so much more!

Tamale Festival Dec. 1
This event is the largest tamale festival in Orange County, and is held on Euclid St., between La Habra Blvd. and Lambert Rd., as well as in Brio and Portola Parks, which are in that area. Activities will include a tamale contest, dance performances by local studios, musical performances, and the Mariachi Divas.

Night of a Thousand Lights Dec. 6 – 22
The 6th Annual Night of 1,000 Lights is to be the best yet! This year there’s twelve nights of holiday cheer! Enjoy “Blue Christmas” with Elvis, sweet treats on Gingerbread Lane, visit Santa and warm yourself with hot chocolate!

45th Annual Boat Parade Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14
Get ready for a Tiki Holiday takeover at Dana Point Harbor during the 45th Annual Boat Parade of Lights! Visit Santa, do some shopping, and enjoy all the holidays have to offer!

Winter Festival & Tree Lighting Dec. 7
Join the City of Dana Point at the annual Winter Festival on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Activities include a visit from Santa, reindeer, snow, crafts for kids, cookie decorating, holiday entertainment, petting zoo, craft beer for adults, and the annual tree lighting ceremony at 5:15 p.m.

Candy Caneland & Craft Faire Dec. 7
This is a winter holiday celebration featuring wonderful activities for the whole family! This year’s event will once again feature snow slides, live entertainment, a petting zoo, and over 100 artisan craft booths.

Fountain Valley Tree Lighting Ceremony Dec. 7
This special holiday event will feature guests from the North Pole as well as performances by various community groups, delicious food available for purchase from local non-profit organizations, games, a spectacular fireworks show, and much more! The fun begins at 4:30 p.m. and is FREE to attend!

Puttin’ On the Glitz Dec. 7
Get into the holiday spirit with a visit from Santa Claus, holiday carolers, shopping, dining, a beer and wine garden, train rides, sweet treats, and much more.

Home for the Holidays Dec. 8
The Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Fair will feature more than 30 pet rescue groups and animal shelters along with, pet-related vendors (food, toys,micro-chipping, etc.). Help us find 500 furry friends a home this holiday season!

2019 Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade Dec. 14
The parade includes beautiful equestrian units, patriotic and inspirational military tributes, world-class athletes, spirit-filled youth groups, classic auto clubs, talented marching bands, and some of the biggest attractions in the nation!

111th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade Dec. 18-22
FREE to the public. The boat parade will light up the harbor for five consecutive nights. The parade starts at Bay Island at 6:30 p.m. each night.

SoCal’s Ultimate Winter Festival Dec. 19 – Jan. 5
Come experience the magic when winter comes to SoCal! This festival features 18 days of winter fun including: outdoor ice skating, ice tubing down a 9 lane, 150 foot mountain, snow play area, a light maze, live music, food, drinks, and MUCH more.

Beach Clean Up Dec. 21
All are welcome! Join us as we preserve our beach’s natural beauty!

Hooray for Hanukkah Dec. 22-30
Spin the dreidel and light the Menorah! We’re celebrating Hanukah at Pretend City! Let your little ones learn about this holiday through fun activities, traditions, games, and art! We will have full days of fun singing songs and getting in the holiday spirit!

Kwanzaa Celebration Dec. 26
Join us as we celebrate Kwanzaa at Pretend City! We’re bringing out our Kinara and learn about some of the principle and traditions behind this lively celebration that honors African-American culture and heritage.

Run in the New Year 5K/10K Dec. 29
Write a New Year resolution on the back of your bib and RUN, JOG, or WALK it into the new year!

New Year’s Eve Celebrations Dec. 31
