Spring Citrus Fair May 3-5
The La Habra Chamber of Commerce will produce its Annual Spring Citrus Fair — full of period charm — showcasing the history of the La Habra Valley. Event will include entertainment, carnival rides, local food, exhibits & character mascots. Free Admission.

Annual Cinco De Mayo Fiesta May 4
2019 will mark the 29th year of celebrating Mexican culture in our Spanish Village by the Sea. The Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration showcases live entertainment featuring traditional Mariachi’s and Ballet Folklorico to Cumbias, Tex Mex, and Salsa dancers. Community groups will be serving up authentic Mexican food fare and other activities will include an Art Contest, Carnival Game booths and a vendor area.

OC Marathon May 5
The SDCCU OC Marathon Course will start in front of our Official Start Line Hotel, the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa just south of Santa Barbara Drive. You will run through the beautiful coastal communities of Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Santa Ana finishing off at the OC Fair and Event Center conveniently located just off the 55 freeway in the heart of Costa Mesa.

Open Garden Day May 11
Experience the inviting neighborhoods of West Floral Park and Jack Fisher Park in North Santa Ana. This one day community event offers an array of activities: lovely gardens to tour, water-wise front yard sidewalk tour, garden expert talks & demonstrations, vintage cars to peruse, a street full of vendors selling unique garden treasures, and gourmet food trucks with plenty of tasty treats.

Like Totally Music Festival May 11
Bringing music, style and memories to the beach! This event features national 1980’s bands, tons of vendors for shopping, lots food trucks and a full bar. The festival also includes celebrity impersonators, an 80s themed costume contest and so much more!

Irvine Korean Cultural Festival 2019 May 11
2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the Irvine Korean Cultural Festival, an event designed to celebrate and share Korean cultural heritage and artistic traditions with the broader Irvine community and Orange County. This community event is a culture-filled extravaganza replete with fine Korean cuisine, games, art, music, and entertainment.

OC Greek Food Festival 2018 May 17-19
The OC Greek Food Festival celebrates the best of Greek food, music, dancing and culture. Anaheim Children’s Festival May 18
Fun for the whole family with free arts and crafts, dance lessons and performing arts classes. Over 50 organizations, city departments and more bring art projects to the Park atmosphere and invite the kids to “try art”. All art activities are FREE to the participants and include: arts, crafts, dancing lessons, art lessons, plus performing opportunities.

California Strawberry Festival May 18-19
36th annual strawberry jubilee dozens of food booths serving strawberry everything — kebabs, nachos, pizza, flan, funnel cake, cotton candy, beer and margaritas. For dessert? Chocolate-dipped strawberries, of course. Contests include pie-eating and best-dressed babies.

Santa Ana’s Zoo Party for the Planet May 19
Open to the public, Party for the Planet is a fun-filled day that celebrates wildlife while promoting conservation and educating Zoo guests about the different ways they can explore and help protect the environment. The event is FREE for FOSAZ Members and included in the price of general admission.

Strawberry Festival May 24-27
The festival is a parade and carnival celebrating the city’s strawberry-growing history. Free admission!

Scottish Fest May 25-26
The 87th Annual Scottish Fest is Southern California’s largest Scottish and Celtic Festival! The event features hundreds of bagpipers and drummers, Scottish and Irish food and vendors, Scottish clans, Highland dancing and traditional Scottish feats of strength like the hammer throw, putting the stone and caber toss. Part of the United Scottish Society, the festival was established in 1932 and was called a Highland Games in the tradition of Scottish heritage.

Veterans of War Memorial Day Event May 27
Dana Point Veterans of War Post 9934 presents this annual Memorial Day Event held at Pines Park in Capistrano Beach. A special part of this program is the “Boots and Rifle” ceremony conducted by officers of Post 9934, and the bugle call, TAPS played by that master of the trumpet, David Longoria. This Memorial Day Service for 2019 will include special recognition for those family members who support members of the military services while they are deployed to combat operations.
