Orange County May 2018 Events



Anaheim Cinco De Mayo Fiesta 2018 May 4-6
Anaheim puts on a wild Cinco De Mayo celebration that doesn’t rely on ridiculously strong cocktails to have fun. This Fiesta in La Palma Park is entirely drug and alcohol-free, giving families a safe environment to enjoy four days of cultural fun.

Spring Citrus Fair May 4-6
The La Habra Chamber of Commerce will produce its Annual Spring Citrus Fair — full of period charm — showcasing the history of the La Habra Valley. Event will include entertainment, carnival rides, local food, exhibits & character mascots. Free Admission

Wild West Steamfest May 5
Wild West Steam Fest serves to celebrate two worlds merged – The Old West & Steampunk. This concert event which will include a beer garden and vendors, panels, Faro, Tea Dueling Blacksmith, costume contest, gold mining and living history tours.

ACES Hot Rod Resurrection Car Show May 9
ACES Car Club to host Resurection 12 in Huntington Beach, Old World. This event is open to pre ‘65 traditional hot rods, customs & vintage/classic bikes only, and being held in Huntington Beach, Old World in Orange County.

Open Garden Day May 12
Experience the inviting neighborhoods of West Floral Park and Jack Fisher Park in North Santa Ana. This one day community event offers an array of activities: lovely gardens to tour, water-wise front yard sidewalk tour, garden expert talks & demonstrations, vintage cars to peruse, a street full of vendors selling unique garden treasures, and gourmet food trucks with plenty of tasty treats.

Mariachi Festival May 12
The festival will include entertainment “Battle of the Mariachis” and authentic Mexican food. Mariachi performers will compete for cash prizes.

Irvine Korean Cultural Festival 2018 May 12
2018 marks the 9th anniversary of the Irvine Korean Cultural Festival, an event designed to celebrate and share Korean cultural heritage and artistic traditions with the broader Irvine community and Orange County. This community event is a culture-filled extravaganza replete with fine Korean cuisine, games, art, music, and entertainment.

OC Greek Food Festival 2018 May 18-19
The OC Greek Food Festival celebrates the best of Greek food, music, dancing and culture. Experience authentic Greek foods and homemade Greek pastries; traditional Greek dancing and Greek music; an outdoor marketplace and expansive “Kidz Zone” with carnival rides & games and other children’s activities, and much more.

California Strawberry Festival May 19
35th annual strawberry jubilee dozens of food booths serving strawberry everything — kebabs, nachos, pizza, flan, funnel cake, cotton candy, beer and margaritas. For dessert? Chocolate-dipped strawberries, of course. Contests include pie-eating and best-dressed babies.

Doheny Blues Festival May 19-20
The 21st annual event will be staged this year at a new venue, Dana Point’s Sea Terrace Park. Headliners include George Thorogood, Jimmie Vaughan and the California Honeydrops. Enjoy 24 performances on three alternating stages, plus food offerings from many Orange County restaurants, an eclectic vendor fair and craft beer selections.

Anaheim Children’s Festival 2018 May 19
Children and teens of all ages are invited to experience the world of art in this hands-on, interactive setting. Attendees can walk through over 20 booths of local organizations, each one offering a unique art project to try out. From origami to plate painting, kids will have the chance to express their creative side at this participatory event.

Strawberry Festival May 25-28
The festival is a parade and carnival celebrating the city’s strawberry-growing history. Free admission!

Scottish Fest May 26-27
The event features hundreds of bagpipers and drummers, Scottish and Irish food and vendors, Scottish clans, Highland dancing and traditional Scottish feats of strength like the hammer throw, putting the stone and caber toss. Part of the United Scottish Society, the festival was established in 1932 and was called a Highland Games in the tradition of Scottish heritage.

Newport Beach Beerfest 2018 May 26
After all the times you’ve forgotten to pack a cooler full of beer for the annual beach trip, Newport Dunes will step up and save the day. Dig your toes into the soft, cool sand and enjoy more than 150 craft beers, wines and hard spirits along with mouth-watering eats from local food trucks. While you get acquainted with these palate-pleasers, the live music stage will be popping with local bands and DJs well into the night.
