Annual ‘Gardenfest’ Apr 8
This years highlights include annual Plant Sale and Garden Flea Market, exhibits demonstrating sustainable practices for your garden, garden related opportunities in our community, Open to the Public ‘funky container’ and ‘floral design’ contests, San Clemente Art Association’s Garden and Flower Show painting competition, Butterfly Habitat Education and Water Smart Program.
Bunny Blast Apr 8
Children’s Activities include: Crafts Games Face Painting Entertainment Instructor Showcase – meet the Parks and Recreation class instructors “Touch a Truck” – kids will get to climb, work on and “drive” a fun work truck, including trash, fire, and Sheriff’s Department. The Easter Bunny will also be hopping around! Bring your own camera for pictures. Note: There WILL NOT be an egg hunt at this event. Food available for purchase. Activities may be canceled if it rains on event day. Please call the Recreation Hotline for an event update at 362-4351 x1. No dogs or smoking allowed in the event area.
Bunny Days Apr 15
Bring the family and celebrate spring! Enjoy carnival games; crafts; the spring garden center; photos with the bunny (bring your own camera), an inflatable obstacle course, slide and much more! Egg hunts will be held for children ages 11 and under from 10:00 am – 12:45pm. Children are encouraged to bring a bag or basket to collect their goodies.
Newport Beach Film Festival Apr 20-27
Set in beautiful Newport Beach, a few blocks away from spectacular coastline and less than an hour from Hollywood, the Festival annually host several premieres and galas for a singular festival experience.
Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration Apr 22
The City of Mission Viejo will celebrate Earth Day & Arbor Day on Saturday, April 22, 2017, on Mustang Run at Los Alisos Boulevard from 8:00 a.m. to noon. We’re looking for volunteers to plant drought-tolerant trees and shrubs and assist with litter clean up. A Green Expo will be held on Mustang Run from 8:00 a.m. to noon with free hotdogs and ice cream for participants (while supplies last).
Earth Day Celebration Apr 22
“Go Green” and volunteer to plant, weed and clean up the Niguel Botanical Preserve. Celebrate Earth Day by giving back your time to improve the landscaping in our 18-acre preserve. Volunteers should wear old clothes, closed toed shoes, and be prepared to work in the soil! Drinking water and a light snack provided.
San Clemente Micro-Brew Fest Apr 22
Presented by Left Coast Brewing Co., is an exciting event which features Mico-Brews from all over Southern California – Enjoy Micro-Brew sampling, home-made food provided by various non-profit organizations and live entertainment. VIP guests enjoyed tours of the Left Coast Brewery and premier samplings. This Tasting is one you won’t want to miss!
Pet Expo Apr 28-30
A giant animal entertainment and education festival. It’s the largest pet and pet product expo in the world. Over 1,000 animals will entertain you in stage shows, competitions and demonstrations including dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, rodents, goats, pigs, llamas, rabbits, miniature horses and more. There will also be pet adoptions, pet products for sale, petting zoo, how-to workshops and advice from animal experts. It is presented by a nonprofit organization to promote responsible pet care. Please do not bring your pets.
Doheny Wood Apr 28-30
Show is free to woodie owners and spectators. The state beach does have a park entry fee. Over 150 classic wooden cars, surf wagons will be on display.
Walk MS Apr 29
Fun, festival-like event including food, drink, entertainment and a 2 mile walk at UCI. The National MS Society’s mission is to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. They are currently accepting registrations via, email, mail or over the telephone for this walk.
Taste of Huntington Beach Apr 30
